Volunteers and Vacancies
Available posistions

All people working for the swimming club whether administrators or teachers, are volunteers and give their time freely not only on Monday nights but for meetings and courses as necessary. If you are able to assist in any way, whether helping on the front desk, helping on poolside, becoming a member of the committee; then please speak to either a member of the committee or a teacher.

The Committee

The Committee comprises of a Chairperson, Club Secretary, Treasurer, Headteacher, Welfare Officer, Workforce co-ordinator, School Liaison Officer and Minutes Secretary. They discuss and make decisions on the operation of the club. By a discussion, planning and evaluation, decisions are made about the running of the club.

P.A.S.C. value their volunteers and are constantly considering the succession planning of key roles continue and further develop the already successful club. We currently have the following volunteer vacancies available:-

  • Level 1 + 2 Teachers

  • Level 1 - formerly known as assistant teacher. Teaching children in maximum groups of 6, based on club's teaching plan. Level 2 – same as Level 1 except up to 12 children.
  • Headteacher

  • Organising the teaching groups; overseeing the implementation of teaching plan; liaising with Chair/Committee.
  • Assistant club secretary

  • To shadow the current club secretary; dealing with ASA documents/correspondence; point of contact for the club.
  • Assistant waiting list secretary

  • To shadow the current waiting list secretary, collating waiting list details; working with headteacher to bring in new swimmers.
  • Swim21 coordinator

  • Work with committee to ensure club reaches criteria for swim21 accreditation; draw up and audit action plan; liaise between club officers and regional development officer.
  • SAG (Swimming action group) representative

  • Attending SAG meetings - once every 3/4 months; represent the club keeping up to date with new initiatives and keep club issues at mind.
  • Assistant workforce coordinator

  • Shadow current workforce coordinator - main contact for volunteers; supervise and oversee volunteers; liaise with Chair to ensure all tasks are covered by volunteers; appraise and write development plans for volunteers.
  • Gala organiser

  • To oversee the organisation and running of the annual club gala.
